The IJOSE Foundation is more than just a non-profit organization. It is a dedicated movement, founded by Leila Onome Aigbedion, with a profound passion for transforming lives and creating a better future for youth in need. What drives us is the belief that every youth, regardless of background or circumstances, has the potential to thrive and make a difference. We aim to help the young people worldwide to live a better life and to have equal opportunities. Our goal is to ignite their inner light and help them shine because we believe youth is the future.

Our objectives

Provide Equal Opportunities for Youth in Education Globally

  • Establish partnerships with educational institutions and organizations worldwide to provide scholarships, mentorship programs, and access to educational resources.
  • Develop online learning platforms and mobile applications to reach underserved youth in remote areas.
  • Conduct outreach programs and workshops to promote the importance of education and career development.

Improve the Lives of Young Girls and Women Worldwide

  • Implement initiatives focused on promoting gender equality in education and professional sectors.
  • Provide tools, training workshops and connections to improve leadership, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy tailored for young girls and women.
  • Establish networks and mentorship programs connecting young girls and women with successful professionals in various fields.

Celebrate and Amplify Diverse Cultures and Lifestyles

  • Organize cultural programs, festivals, and events showcasing the diversity of cultures and traditions worldwide.
  • Support community-based projects that preserve and promote indigenous languages, arts, and traditions.
  • Create multimedia campaigns and educational materials to raise awareness and appreciation for cultural diversity in The Netherlands and abroad.

The IJOSE Foundation is a tribute to my late mother, Rita Ijose [..].We aspire to let her passion for people, and her bright spirit live on. Through the foundation we can reach those people in the world who need our help to have a better future.

Our mission

The IJOSE Foundation is an organization with a clear mission: to help and support youth, especially those who are mentally, physically, or financially struggling. Our focus is on guiding youth who may not yet know which direction they want to take in life and who struggle with making choices for their future, both in The Netherlands and in other countries around the globe.

Our vision

Our vision is to create a world where every youth, regardless of their circumstances, has access to quality education and opportunities for personal growth. We are dedicated to empowering young people globally, equipping them with the knowledge, tools, and networks necessary for educational, professional, and personal advancement.

 

By 2030, the IJOSE Foundation aims to have positively impacted the lives of at least 5,000 youth globally through our various programs. We envision a future where gender and wealth disparities in education and career opportunities are significantly reduced, and youngsters are empowered to pursue their aspirations with confidence. Additionally, we strive to have fostered a greater understanding and appreciation for cultural diversity, celebrating the richness of human experiences and promoting global harmony.
